Ok, i'm not much of an expert on Angels but one of the newer models (speed, A4, Fly) are on my consideration list for my new marker when i get back into ball. The space frame, enclosed design, light wieght and slick stuff like the LCD apeals to me. But one thing that i've never really been a fan of on all models of angel i've fiddeled with (all bar the new Fly) is the feel of the trigger. All the Angels i've had a play with have had triggers with a spring return. I love the magnetic trigger on my Impulse and also like the trigger on the EBlade. And I was wondering if you can get a magnetic trigger, with a simular feel to the markers i like?

...just wondering

A magnetic trigger could easily be set up on an lcd, but on the opto boarded ir3, speed, A4 and fly, the trigger spring and opto activator are the same thing. So you will be limited to the spring tension of this switch.

It's easy to make a magnetic trigger mod on A4/Fly/Speed, there's loads of people that have done it with the use of a few 'rare earth magnets' from maplins and the like, costs about £3 and a tube of superglue...

To use a magnet as a return for the trigger, i would have thought it would be nice to have the original spring removed. On the opto board (ir3, a4, speed, fly), the spring is the optical actuator. So if this is required to activate the switch and you can't remove it, why put extra resistance there with a magnet.

It's all about feel I suppose, don't get me wrong Tom, I agree, that's why I haven't bothered doing it on mine. The spring stays and as John C says, must people just bend it a little to create less resistance.

The magnets is just in case you like the clicky feel of eblade triggers, it gives it a snappy feeling like that.

I think most people who say they don't like the feel of the WDP triggers haven't tried it with air and paint. There is no 'feel' in the optical triggers until it's aired up and sending paint, then you get a real feel for it and realise just how ridiculously fast they can spit the paint out...

got to agree with you ben
As ive just aquired an A4 and the first real go proved you could throw out an absolutely absurd amount of paint (22 bps on first go) with out much adustment to the trigger which is the standards fitted type and still feels good.
Ive also tried the rare earth magnet trick on my LCD you can either put on the top off the trigger and frame to push or inside the handle and against the reverse of the leg that hits the microswitch to pull giving you that click of a blade it worked realy well till one of the magets came unstuck could probably use something abit stronger like apoxy though.
