I have a Angel Euro of which I am using a low pressure regulator. I have been advised recently however, that the older Angels are better run on a high pressure regulator. My concern is that whilst the marker is accurate it lacks distance.

Can anyone clarify the situation?

Many Thanks.

Ray.

When you say it "lacks distance"...have you shot it over a Chrono to asses what velocity it is shooting?
I think Gasman is right, they run LP...try settig it up over a chrono mate..and welcome to teh boards.

By the way...where did you get your Avatar?!!

Hi Bud

Welcome to the forums. Skeet is correct if you attach a Hp system to the euro it will go bang. LP system only. Sounds like the velocity is not set up or you could have a dirty secondry reg.

Cheers

Hi Ray how are things ?
Euro angels are definitely Low pressure only, as high pressure can damage the internals. as for distance make sure your paint is not too big for your barrell assuming your velocity is ok.

if the velocity is not being terribly consistent make sure everything is clean and lubed. one drop of love juice usually does the trick.

need anything, just shout mate.

Running them on HP will not make your marker go bang or damage it (well not in the short term) but if you run it on HP you have problems running the velocity below 300fps.

This marker like said is BEST run on LP all the same.

It sounds like it could do with a registered Angel tec having a look at it. Give LiPS a bell on Monday they have the power to heal your Angel.

Bingo! The angel mini-reg isn't designed for high input pressures. If you were using an adjustable reg that effectively regulated HP input from 0-500 psi, you could use a HP just fine. Or if you performed the mini-reg mod, you'd achieve the same effect. As far as your marker's "distance", that's down to your velocity. If it's running at 300 fps, it'll have the same "distance" as everybody else's, unless your paint is way too big for your barrel, in which case you can switch barrels or paints.

As others have said, get your velocity checked with a good chronograph to eliminate the range problem, then see if it's ok. And use an LP tank, as on HP the minireg will not, unless modified, turn down enough to chrony under 300fps.
