Yeah I got one fella

Not sure on price, sub £100 just for the marker at a guess

How old? I think they are 2002-3

As they do not have ramping as std an egg would do just fine, you'd probably get away with an old revvy at a push

3000psi tank is fine I think the older angels were HP only, IR3 falls into this catagorey

would it be a good second gun for me or is it to old. do you like your ir3
what modes are there on it.

very stupid question but can you use this in the rain because it is electro.
are spare parts easy to get my mits on.

i was going to just stick to mechanical markers as i think electros are too complicated. what is the ease of use.

Pretty easy to use, any problems LiPS can usually help.

No ramping on stock boards, just the stock semi auto. You can use any electro gun in the rain, just make sure the water doesn't get to the electrics. they are getting a bit old now so some parts might be getting a bit scare, never had any problems with mine so I couldn't say.

A a backup, that's what mine is now

so the marker will only go as fast as i get the trigger to go just like a mech marker. do you suggest any other good electros or mech markers that are decent and good for a second gun, used condition for 100 pound that takes 3000psi hp air

hey i got an ir3 as well

its my first gun and shoots fine.
price, between 120-80 depending on what it comes with.
they were released in 2003. they are slightly on the heavy side, but that doesn't mean there very heavy. compared to an ion yes there quite heavy but perfectly usable.

hopper required. I've ran mine off a revvy and an egg, runs fine.

yes they do take that tank.

also yes it will only go as fast as you pull the trigger however this is much faster than a mech, the trigger pull is similar to clicking a mouse.

the advantage of the ion over the ir3 is its newer, more "ups" and all.
advantage of ir3 over ion is that for the same price you get a gun which you need to add nothing to, it used to be top of the line selling for over £1000, so as you can imagine its pretty much fine as is.

oh and on the ramping bit, John C on here can do a "spitfire mod" on it which gives it eyes and ramping modes, just as good as any of the latest markers.

hope that helps

yeah i am very tempted now with the ir3 but it is 4-5 years old but the looks are amazing.
I have seen the triggers on high end markers and there so close to the back of the trigger frame you just tap it and it will fire.

can anyone fire me some pics this way on the thread cheers.

are there any downsides with it apart from being heavy, which is no big deal with me as i will be playing woodsball.

do they take 9 volts or are they the old angel rechargeable batteries.
how long do they take to charge and how long does the charge last.

cheers jason:)
