Angel IR3 Help??

I am fixing an Ir3 for a mate.

The issue he has is that the battery was fine when he picked it up off the seller, although within a few days of using it the battery went flat and will not charge via the car charger supplied. *Although he has told me it registers that the marker is charging* When switched on it simply shows mem6 on the display and turns itself off?

Initially I thought it was his battery that was at fault. However I understand that there are two different types of Angel car charger, each having a different colour label on it. Is this the case and what type should an IR3 have

Also the cops unit is buggered as the pins are snapped off. The cops unit looks very basic in its working which makes me wonder if it is worth having at all. Does it really help with chopping?

Anynody know the answer to the above 2 questions?

It could be several things.

Either charger should be fine for an Ir3.
Does your friend charge using some kind of mains adapter? If its not up to the job, that would cause exactly the symptoms your friend is experiencing (appears to be charging but battery never gets any juice)?

The COPS system is far from basic in its operation.
Using a vibration sensor used to detect paintballs is going to need some serious processing to differentiate between a paintball falling into the breach and the hundreds of other sources of vibration inside a paintball gun.

Opinions differ on its effectiveness, but having it in and working certainly wont hurt the guns performance.

Thanks for the help guys!

The charger is used in his Renault 5 turbo:rolleyes:

Unfortunatly I have the marker fully stripped in lots of different pieces on the shelf behind me, with no way to test the batteries condition as the chap who's marker it is has the charger.

When you open up the breach there is a small thin o'ring that sits beteween the breach and the body that is split. Does anyone have one of these I can purchase?
