angel charging problem!!

ive just got an angel IR3 fly and im having really big problems with charging it , firstly when i plug the charger in and turn it on , mem 4 appears on the screen and then it just switches off this also happens when i turn it on with it not on charge , secondly i put it on charge for about half an hour and the charger got so hot it melted !
if anyone has got any tips or can help me with it it would be much appreciated!

Silly question - Did you use the correct charger?

Are you using the WDP car charger or an aftermarket wall charger?

Check out Spitfire paintball, JohnC is the man.

They sell trickle chargers that are much better for your Angel.

At the very least he can give some advice.

Pete,

Is your Ir3 board an opto board or a microswitch board??



It sounds like there is a fault with the board, Ir3s often get faults that stop them charging but the rest of the boards features work fine.

As PaintballBudgie kindly pointed out, we sell chargers that plug into the wall, they bypass the angel board and just trickle charge the battery.

We also have replacement batteries if that turns out to be the problem.

Have you tried another charger, you'll know within 5 mins, as the battery lights will cascade.

Sometimes if your marker battery is very low it can take a few minutes to show the charge.
