Hi there just got my new dark angel, it comes with an infinity barrel which seems fine but I've been told that the boomstick or JT barrels are better, WHY?

Turbod, I've got an ancient Eclipse Angel, I still shoot my Infinity on it, and it's as good as any. I shoot all sorts of paint through it, and it hits what I'm aiming at. The Freak system is the only other barrel that I could see as an actual performance enhancement, outside of having a bunch of different bore barrels. I'm about to start rambling, so in summary, don't bother with another barrel unless you want it sized to your paint. Obviously, my opinion.
turbod I used the infinity barrel for a long time. It is a good barrel but a boom stick is a bit more on the accuracy side. I have also used the Freak and was not impressed by it's performance. The boomer I have now is sweet! My 2p...
Yeah, see Rooster, I keep hearing people not liking their Freak barrels, I should quit backing them, I suppose. I don't know of any other barrel that so many people are divided on. Two of my teammates have them, and they absolutely love 'em, but friends on other teams have had them, and sold them already.
Also, DYE makes excellent barrels, I just didn't see any difference between my Infinity and Boomstick. Maybe I just have a super-sweet Infinity .

i'm personally a fan of boomsticks AND freaks, a good paint to barrel match effects consistency and accuracy by ALOT, so 3 or 4 different bore boomys or a freak will do ya nicely!

You gotta go with the Freak man, it's awesome. We used boomys all the time and tried out the JT, these were all cool and you never really think you could better the ol' boomstick BUT when we tried the Freak we found it just as good on accuracy as a boomy PLUS the added flexibility you get with the boremaster kit and different length ends. You don't really need any other barrell, it is a work of art, oh my god I think I'm gonna cry.
