better regs you say?
I still use a adjustable, Evil Sicon (sp?), lighter than most preset setups and is fully adjustable with the best recharge rate you would ever need :)

Honestly.....

This preset fad is just a fashion thing really.
You hear about the weight saving....An air system, that's bottle and reg, weighs proberbly 4 or 5 ozs more than a preset reg and similar bottle!
Put that into perspective. Strap that lot to a marker, then a halo (with them heavy wrist snapping bateries in it :D ) then fill the whole lot up with about 180 of them hernia assuring paintballs, and you are looking at saving a very small amount of weight, overall.
In all honesty, in a game, what are the advantages???
Unless you are a weak wristed gimp, then it will make absolutely no difference at all.
The only real advantage of the preset, is the ability to quickly swap it from one marker to another, end of!
It just boils down to the pro's started using them so everyone wants to be a pro and use them as well. Same as any other sport the world over.
Ok rant over...I don't do mornings! :D

its not just a fashion thing its a logic thing. if your entire team uses presets then you have the capability of using spare tanks owned by the team. u can also fill one tank up and change em round wen u get bk into the safe area if your in a rush

so yeh...logic

You can almost get 2 preset screw ins (£220) for the price of an a.i.r (£417.00) and you can keep your bottle seperate from your marker with a lot less hassle.
