I have an ir3 fly with an angel air 68ci 4500psi. How many shots will iget out of the bottle. I am asking this coz there are two of us wanting to buy a dive bottle between us and we cant find anything over 12.2 litre at 300 bar.

just wanna know how many fills i will need in a day, hence never used air before.

a 12ltr 300bar will supply 2 players with a reasonable days worth of gas.

It will only fill to 4500 a couple of times but even at the end of the day (say 8 games) you should both still be about the 3000 mark.

If you're back guys and shoot 5 or 6 pots a game then I would get a 15ltr 232br tank to use as a bulk first and keep the 300br for top up.

From the Fly, I get about hopper and 7pots off mine.

varies a little but then I have never run my AIR right down, use an LCD but not going to be a huge difference some where around 1500 good shots per tank maybe a little more maybe a little less, someone will post the scientific answer but that is not always that useful you need a practical usage figure another way to give you an idea I have shot 7 pots and a hopper and still had 1800 psi in the tank so start adding that up. In a tournament you will from habit fill either every game if you do fire that amount each time or if you don't, every other game all depends on what you shot per game. hope this helps :)

filling?

We have found that there are many dive shops that will not fill up to 300bar and if they do they ask you to drop the bottle in, in the morning and pick it up later, If it is this specialised how do some of the sites fill the tanks up for you? I have seen a few sites that offer HP Air fills for £4. For you guys out there who have been doing the air thing for a while, did you come up against so much difficulty in getting a compleate system.

Ok,
as for dive shops filling to 300 bar, and dropping of and picking up later.
Do you realise how long it takes to fill one?
Dive shops are very wary of heating up the bottle due to the filling process. so to fill to 300 bar, it takes anything from 20 min to an hour.

When paintball sites offer air, it is usually from big BOC bulk tanks. Which will give a 3000psi fill at best, rapidly dropping to about 2000psi.
Some have compressors, but be careful of overheating again. and by law, people filling from compressors must be certified to be allowed to decant gas in this way.

I never knew that. A big help cheers.

Just need to get myself a 300 bar bottle now. Have been in touch with every dive shop in the area now and i have found two shops that fill 300bar and it only costs around a fiver so thats cool. sum guy on the forums has a 12 litre for sale with a fill station for £150, once i find the certificate date, i will have a look.

And as i have found out i can fill the bottle from the site (bulk tank) and then fill to 4500 with the 12 litre. Great.
