Angel A4/Speed question

Speed was first I believe...then teh A4 was released, using teh Speed engine....A4 has more bells and whistles...both use Sensi(A4 does, pretty sure speed does too), whcih is good when it works...and not so, when it doesnt.....Speed 05 is different, has Eyes, but basicly switch on ashoot...I quite fancy one! Go for an 05 if you can...if not...the A4 is just a Carlos Fandango version of teh Speed, with Vernier wheels to adjust the trigger, which is convinient..I prefer the A4 over teh Speed...Painball Budge had a noce one up for grabs a while ago...might be an idea to ask him. Defo 05 Spee tho...if you can afford a seconhand one....a few about...not that I am an Angel expert...:D

Skeet's pretty much right on. The Speed was released as a lower priced model to reach the mid-range market base, and it introduced WDP's new LP engine. It featured Sensi, an LED board, and IR3 body. The A4 came out a little after that (WDP has this retarded thing where they introduce their lower model first, then their flagship marker after that), used a similar engine, but with a smaller 'noid, a new LCD board, still featured Sensi and a smaller, lighter body. Then, when WDP realized that Sensi was never going to live down the bad rap from COPS, they introduced the Fly, which features break beam eyes to appeal to all the people who refused to buy an angel because they "heard" Sensi/COPS was no good. By the time that was just starting to get real popular, they introduced the Speed 05, which will serve the same purpose as the original Speed, it's their lower priced, stripped down model, and their forthcoming flagship marker will be the G7, to be released later this year.

I have used Angel's since the begining of time.

Had a limited edition LED(loved that marker!), A couple of LCD's(best having the eclipse blade frame on), and first generation Speed. I now have a a4fly.

If budget is not a problem, wait for the new G7. Next down would be a a4 fly, then a new speed05.
After that a4's and older speed's, at the bottom IR3's, LCD and LED's.

The a4 fly has all the bells and whistles(Would you use them??).
The Speed05 is a stripped down version(no bells and whistles)
Speed05 has a different trigger frame and feel, that to me is the only differnece between them.(G7 will have this newer trigger/frame as well)

A4fly/has eyes, A4 does not, both have the opto trigger.

My choice would be the speed05.

The older markers should be considered if cost is important.
