Angel 1 eyes not working.

Hi guys,

I sold my angel 1 to jocky on the forums, when I sent it it worked grand but he says that the eyes aren't working. I told him how to turn them off and on, told him to look at the screen for the picture to see if they are on, told him you should be able to see the lazers in the breech. He hasn't actually told me if he can see any of these things, he just wants me to get him new eyes. I even asked him to take a picture of the breech and he board so i can tell him if they are on and if the eyes are still plugged in. Still waiting on the photos though.

Any other ideas? And before you ask i told him to change the battery, i even gave him a spare one.

How long has he had the marker from you ?

I have had this problem when selling a gun,I know the eye was fine when i posted it as i put a brand new one in and tested it.Turns out he took the makrer to bits and hey presto fooked the eye but tried to say it wasn't working when it arrived.

Pics are a must to see what is going on and has he used it or is the problem straight out of the parcel ?

he's after saying he'll show me pics but that it'll only show me they aren't working.

I've not had an issue with the laser eyes on the one and I have 2 of them that are both more than a year old. Unlike the previous generation which seemed to fail for no apparent reason every now and then. That's not to say that they wouldn't fail and if they did it would probably be without warning. There is a chance of routing the tracks badly if you had it apart, either pinch/crimping them or by crossing them over, if the latter they may just be plugged into the wrong sockets as they only have contacts on one side. Why he would take it apart (if indeed he did) is beyond me, as unless he knows what he's doing it's bound not to work as well after - though some people just can't help themselves. Whereabouts is he, some kind soul local too him may take an independent look at it for both of you.

if the eyes are broken i'll buy him a new pair, but not if they are just put in the wrong socket

edit: i also bought some 3 piece eye covers before selling the angel, if he wants i'll send these over when i get 'em.
