Do anyone know what the right presure is to set the Angel 05 Speed at, if you are running a max-flow system?

really cause i thought it was a low presure marker? i thought running it atm at 300psi was to much :/
The traditional method would be to set the input at 400-450 psi then use the mini-reg to regulate it from there. However, since the Max Flo is a really consistent LP reg, you could run a lower pressure into the mini reg (I have Angel AIR, and I usually go about 300 psi into my A4), or just gut the mini reg and run directly off of the Max Flo (essentially making the mini reg into a gas through).
I think LP markers are any markers that run below about 500psi, while HP markers generally run on between 600 - 1200psi.
I've got an Angel IR3, which is HP and I run that at about 750psi.
You're confusing input pressure and operating pressure. And even then, you could further break it down into firing pressure and cocking pressure. Input pressure is irrelevant, you could run a LP marker with an 850 psi output tank, so long as your secondary regulator is adjusted properly. The new style mini regs are just designed for LP input, so they don't handle HP very well (sometimes they can't cut it down far enough and your velocity won't come down). From your tank, air heads up to the mini-reg, where it gets cut down even further to whatever pressure is giving you your desired velocity (between 150 and 250 psi). Lest we forget, that a portion of the air stored behind the valve (the 150-250 psi) gets directed to the LPR, where it gets cut down even further to anywhere between 50 and 80 psi (the pressure necessary to move the piston in the ram back and forth), then goes to the solenoid to operate the ram. So as you can see, the 05 Speed is indeed a very low pressure marker.
i wanted to buy an 05 speed but i only have a hp air system. So does this mean i can still use a hp air system on an 05 speed
You'd be better off with an LP air system, since that's what the mini-reg is designed for, but you could try out your HP system (some regs tolerate 'em, and some don't), or perform the mini-reg mod (search at www.angel-owners.com, there's a very detailed tutorial written by Ken Crane)
Not really sure, haven't had to do the mod for myself, and haven't heard of anybody trying to use the re-stacked reg on LP again. Tom Allen might know, otherwise it's probably been done at angel-owners.com (pretty much anything you can do to an angel, somebody has tried there)
