An idea for sup'air tournaments

I was wondering, why can't tournament organisers make a map of all the fields and post them on the internet 1 or 2 days before the tournament. Just an birds-eye-view simplified diagram with all the shapes in the correct places.

I don't know how many of you make maps whilst walking the field but I find them quite useful to discuss plans between games etc. Also its a pain in the ass to get to a tournament early enough to do a proper walking of the fields. I need my sleep!

Would I be right in also thinking the queues for the chrono would be smaller, as players would all be going at different times???

Any way what do you all think? I don't really care if you don't like the idea but it would certainly give me at least an extra 15mins in bed!

It's an excellent idea. I posted on here a while ago asking for top down pictures of concept field with the intention of printing them out and laminating them, so moves could be discussed before or after a game.....being lazy I never got around to it though :(

Campaign cup 1999, I seem to remember printing off the official field layouts from the Millenium series website...could be wrong...

..but anyway, you still need to walk the fields!! Even though Sup'Air ball fields are supposed to be symetrical, there are still some potential game-winning differences between ends!! You may be able to get that tiny slither of an extra angle from one end that you can't from the other!!

And who said field craft was dead....

Well yeah you have to walk the fields, but the printouts could be used in unison with that. You can mark on the hot bunkers and the firelanes. They could be used as a supplement to fieldwalking, not as a replacement.
