I've just been given some MIG welding gas cylinders (OK, I know that no-one actually owns the cylinders apart from BOC or Air Products), the 67kg size, containing a Co2/ Argon mix.

Any reason why they can't be used in paintball markers set up for CO2? I'm fairly sure that a standard CO2 fill rig can be used...

Is it worth a try?

Also, can I legally kill someone who suggests using propane or butane in a Tippmann as a flamethrower?;)

Well, that's about right for a Septic, how they ever invented the automobile, let alone the paintball marker, is beyond me.

Anyway, I am considering air, but given the initial outlay (ie. more than £12.43), and the fact that I don't play nearly enough, I just wondered what people thought of this alternative.
