Looking to go magfed so for the mags would i be best getting an airsoft vest and putting a pouch on the back for my tank or is there a paintball magfed vest

There is a lot of choice in vests. For maximum versatility a molle vest forms a base and you can add the pouches you want. Paintball pod pouches are available so you can use it for 'normal' paintball, and use magazine pouches for magfed
You may need to try before you buy though. Paintballs are a large calibre and things such as a dam magazine won't fit a 5.56 magazine pouch and should fit a 7.62 magazine pouch
