 I have a few questions regarding testing and air bottle laws...

firstly I will need to get my current bottle re-tested before I use it/sell it and all sites who
offer the service ask that the regulator be removed, but can the regulator be put back onto the bottle or must I buy a new regulator? after I have removed it?

also my weedy little arms cant play with a 68\45 and using a spool valve PMR , any 0.8 just wont do, I have been looking at these bottles:

any of these would be perfect for me, but they have to be purchased in the U.S because for some silly reason no-one in the U.K stocks them even though they are in quite a demand I know many people who would love a peanut tank.

Is it true that I can buy one of these and then I must test it in the UK e.g.. h-PAC , and that way it would then be legal?

thanks in advance for any answers or suggestions

Tank Suggestions

Hey Head Shot.

I can't help you in regards to the testing but I can tell you the Best Tank ever...

you know how short I am... using a throttle 1.1l at the start of the season was a pain in the ass! The bottle would mean Id be holding my gun about 1foot away from my face... profile much?

I just bought the new 09 DXS stubby 1.1l bottle for £120 off LIPS. Ill show you next time I see you m8

Ii use the same marker...09 PMR. i got around 1400 shots off a full fill.

The reg can be put back on the bottle. If you dont know what your doing take it to someone who does. Bottles have to have the Pi symbol on it to use it in the UK. I personally dont know who can test an american bottle to Pi standards in the UK, Hpac??
As for light, short bottles my money is on a Stako. It's 1.1l, stubby, light and if you put a myth reg on your laughing.

Hpac will, for example, remove the reg for you and replace it after testing, as do most places I have used

dont think Dot bottles can be tested to pi standards but no doubt Tom Allen can confirm or otherwise :)

thanks for confirming dude , err so are all American bottles DOT? or are there other types , what stamp would the American bottles need to have to be able to test to PI standard?
there are tri tested bottles that can be used in the usa, uk and europe, but they must be tri tested from the born date, you cannot change the testing criteria for bottles, atm.:)

ok thanks that explain most of it , but also howdto people get the crossfire /ninja tanks , because surely they are "dot" stamped unless the aren't legal and shouldn't be allowed
