Are the tanks that cost alot like the 4500 fibre tanks much lighter than the 3000 steelies? Also, what are the smallet/lightest tanks available

I bought a cheapy UPZ barrel but not too happy with it because my paint is very consistent so could it be the barrel and what is a good barrel for the price, deathstix? (for invert mini)

light weight

if you want something light go for a empire night stick, stiffi or sly barrel mate 14" around £40 for a near new one.

As for a small bottle either a 0.7l or 0.8 fibre wrap with a myth reg , this would make your profile as tight as tight can be,.. :D.

So your looking at the best part of £120 - £140 max , cheaper if your real lucky ..

A fibre-wrap is a good investment. I couldn't go back to playing with a steelie. If you already have a steelie, play with it for a while before you get caught up in the gearbag obsession! You'll appreciate it more when you do eventually invest in a good bottle.

As for barrels, Unitecs are great, and since they have no seam (as the barrel-back is just a collar that holds the front on), there's less chance of a barrel break, and also if your barrel eventually gets all scratched up you only have to replace the front. They're priced very reasonably as well (at warped anyway). I like them. I also like Dye Ultralights.

i saw the DXS stubby tanks, they look really small + light, where can i get one of them? and when I buy a brand new tank, are they ready just to screw straight into my gun?

i use a .68 PMI Pure Energy Pre-set 4500psi Fibre Air System which weighs in at 0.84kg and is nice a light.

i also use a unitec barrel which i love to bits, nice, light, accurate and cheap for £30 you get a barrel, back and bag or for £60 you get 3 backs and 3 barrels (so i believe from warped)

yeh i found these, what are the advantages of using the 2 piece barrels or better to use the 1 piece deathstix, nightsticks, stiffis?

Un1techs actually aren't a two-pice barrel
;)
Like Dev said, the back is just a method of holding the front on, the front piece actually runs the entire length of the barrel.

They say it's to decrease the chance of barrel breaks, being no seam halfway through the barrel. It also means you can easily change bore size without having to replace the back, as you can have one back and three different bored fronts.

As for advantages of two piece barrels such as the dye ultralight, I'm none the wiser.
