air system problems

Ok so i have a nitor duck x-treme reg and fairly new in date pye bottle. The other day a friend of mine who knows **** all about pb wanted a look and my gat and started unscrewing the bottle from the reg for like no reason. Bottle had air in so obviously i stopped him.

Today when i go to fill this bottle up again after completely dumping it all the oring goes inside. not a problem i have spares cep ti cant now unscrew the bottle from the reg! i can see the o-ring so its not that its wedged in and im just worried that the threads could have been damaged by the bottle being unscrewed under pressure.

any help guys?

I don't think it's cross threaded, you'll need something called a strap wrench to help undo it. I had the same prob with my x-treme, the strap wrench will be able to grip the reg without doing any damage to it. Can get them from B&Q's tool section, they're only about a fiver.

aww so you reckon itll be ok to just undo then, i have a strap wrentch already but its always been so easy to undo i didnt want to undo it anymore and do more damage then was needed.

Try doing it back up again, to re thread it...then wind it back.

If it's cross threaded you're not gonna do anymore damage than your mate already has and you're gonna have to remove the bottle anyway. Hopefully it's just a bit tight and once it starts to unscrew it should come off quite easily.
