Unless you have deep pockets (lots of money) stick with the co2 the only drawback is the weight of the package and the limited amount of paint you can fire.
The JT shinpads I would avoid as the don't flex that well when you wear them (they tend to stay put, hard to explain but other websites have done the reviews and how many unsponsored players do you actually see wearing them?) and they would be very unlikely to produce any bounces unless you wear them under your trousers that is.
Trace, Redz, and at a pinch Renegade will all be much better but then its up to you
I have a pair of Renegades for sale if you want them...cheap got a kitbag too needs a little love lol so that is cheap too.

Well I love my JT kneepads, (Hello JT, did you hear that, sponsorship purlease?).

Especially on grass, you can slide for miles on these babies. Once slid to a barricade and right out the other side:eek:

I wear mine to stop my knee f##king up worse than it already is, not to obtain the odd bouncer.

My advice is ask about, see if you can borrow someones for a game. As always in paintball, try before you buy.

Check eBay for an 88 cui nitrogen tank from either Pure Energy or Crossfire. That's what air system I'm currently running and have no problems with it whatsoever. I used a Shocker for 1 1/2 years with a screw in nitrogen tank like those and had less residue to clean off of orings, no icing problems, and excellent balance. Plus it's especially useful in that nitro tanks have a gauge so you can tell how much air you have in your tank, which is critical with a Shocker. Have fun!
