is it possible to make a quick disconnect braided fitting that will connect the reg output from one bottle to the fill nipple input of a second bottle sitting alongside it?

my thought is yes. as essentially it would only be a very short remote line - a mere 3 inches of so of hosing.

if so. what would be needed, or where could one be made, as i don't fancy jury-rigging one myself.........

Moved as requested, speak to Tom Allen, also known as God and I am sure he will sort you out for a very reasonable exchange in beer tokens....

EDIT: dufus here has just noticed this has ended up in "tech troubles" rather than "air".....can some kindly soul please move.....ta much!!
You know you're trying to connect the 850/450 psi output of one reg to the 3000/4500 psi input of the other bottle.

yes.

essentially the idea (i think...) is that the second bottle wouldn't start to drain until the first drops to below the 850psi output of the first.

the fact that more rec fields are supplying 3k fills at scenario games means that if i can get this connection running i can effectively double my time in field without the current use of two seperate remote lines as now.

my other though was a bridge that connected both outputs to a single remote - kinda like twin scuba tanks use.

i'm not to well up on HPA gubbins other than the basics of what i've used or come across - so this could all be wrong........

Rider,

I would be inclined to join the two outputs together via the remote asa's.

As Tom mentioned earlier, you would be connecting the bottle output pressure to the Bottle pressure side on the fill nipple. Which as you said would not drain the second bottle untill the first drops to the output pressure of it, allowing the fill nipple's 1 way valve to let gas flow through.

In theory, this would be great, but I would definately Link the bottles at the output side instead. Mainly due to the fact that you may have issues with the fill nipples failing as they are not meant to do this amount of work - Open/close repetatively to equalize when low.

Also, the other issue you may have is getting enough volume of air, at the lower pressure, through the small opening of the fill nipple (due to the valve) to run your marker at high rates of fire - although to an extent, the first bottle will act as a buffer to compensate for shorter bursts.

Hope this helps!

perhaps a little too big....

although when we were at the germany game, someone suggested looking at lightweight firemans tanks from sweden....lol!!

but the question still remains...can i get the 2 bottles joined in some way to save using 2 remote lines?
