Air on/off problem

Hi
I have an Air America 3000psi air system with a non-functioning on/off at the valve.
The valve to the bottle is rated 300bar on the neck.
Does anybody know1. how to repair
2. can i get a replacement
3. will a Smart Parts on/off do the job

HI- does it leak or does not turn on / off ?,the tapp should be the same as a smart parts one,look on the bottle,it will have stamped in a thread & pitch size of the thread in the neck of the bottle ( stamped on side of bottle ),quote that to smartparts for comparrision.De-gass your bottle fully before takeing off the tapp.It might be that the o ring in the tapp is very stiff & would require removal & lubricating.Those old style 3000psi valves were always a problem & best replaced.

Doesn't switch off - ok if left on the gun as doesn't leak
It's got p.v2000 stamped on the neck
I had the dodgy o-ring put in yesterday as a stop gap but still the same problem. It just means i can't take the bottle off it's going through a 2ndry reg so no probs to the gun

HI - the PV 2000 is the old style on /off,replace it with a smartparts valve,i think there is one which if you turn 1/4 turn backward it dumps the air like a dump valve,costs about £35,speak to planet.

dunno how much they are currently charging, but the PV 2000 is actually made by AGD, so maybe give Jackie a ring, and find out.
Just a thought.
