Hello, i used my second hand bottle for the second time this weekend, the first day i used it i screwed into my minis asa and played most of the day, until i wanted to take it off for some reason then i found the pin in the top of the reg had a leak but this wouldnt affect it while on the marker so wasnt bothered (also i was told this may have been because i screwed it rite into asa and it can bend the pin, even tho it neva happened to my other bottle an ive been doing the exact same thing)
But then yesterday, the second time i used it i had my tm15 with remote hose on my back went to fill the bottle and a marshal was conserned about air coming from my behind. Turns out now it has a steady leak from the fill nipple...
So the question i need to ask is, what the hell do i do with the poxy thing?
Cheerz, x

Trouble is just baught it from a guy on here, it come back from the 5 year test and passed just a few weeks ago, messaged the guy yesterday and he hasnt wrote back yet. But i also noticed the oring was nakerd on it too so had to change that although on the hpac certificate it said it was fine, makes me wonder if some places do dodgy tests. I cant see how ive caused these problems because iv never had any problems with my last two bottles, but in terms of speaking to the seller i dont think i really have a leg to stand on because he can say the test shows its fine (somehow..)

the test only tests the bottle not the reg. Bottles have to be tested every 5 years, and the reg is removed when testing.

The reg is his responsibility and those leaks are a common fault. It is just an oring change but it must be done by someone qualified to do it.

Aaaaah rite ok i didnt know they dont check the reg haha.
So where would i need to send it too? By the time ive pissed about trying to get hold of this guy and sent it away i mite aswel just send it myself for service, is it cheaper than just buying a new reg?

Teddy picker has bought the bottle off me.

for clarification;

the bottles i was selling were all filled and emptied prior to selling to check for leaks.

I have offered to buy teddy picker a new fill nipple or to swap his reg out with my personal one.

from what i can gather from this post and the pm message's, these 'faults' have developed whist in his care but i shall help regardless.
