air filling time

just got a PMI 68ci 4.5k tank.
and roughly how long should i spend filling it up???
may be a stupid question but just checking.

Do it as slowly as possible.

This may annoy the people in the queue behind you, but it's a safety thing.

Also, it helps reduce the tendency for bottles to heat up, which means you lose pressure when it cools down.

Tom can probably quote the official guideline, but its something like X psi per minute.

Flash filling a bottle is VERY bad practice.

if you think the air is filling too quickly stop filling and wait a bit before continuing. The air hpac provide at the masters fills fairly slowly so there should be no troubles there, but even then the bottles feel warm after filling, but as everyone else has said do it slowly, take breaks and dont just turn the tap all the way as it were

I cant comment on the PA as i have never been but im sure its similar as russ seems big on air.
