also what size is recommended and to what pressure (for a 4500psi bottle).....they seem to like stating scuba gear in bar ratings

i think i have found somewhere fairy cheap for new stuff....but want to know the cost of getting all the paintball gear to go with

cheers in advance

You will need a fill rig and it would be sensible to get a 4500psi system (300 BAR). That's if you haven't got a scuba tank yet, if you've already got the tank you will need to get the fill rig to fit the tank fitting.

4500psi (300BAR) scuba tanks normally have a din fitting, and the lower 3000psi (207 BAR) tanks often have a clamp type fitting (A frame).

4500psi (300 BAR) is the most popular and gives the most return per fill.

A 12 litre 300 BAR scuba tank will set you back around £180, and a fill rig around £40.

It's better to go for a large (12L) tank to get the best fills.

so if i said i could get this

Faber 12 Litre steel cylinder complete with San O Sub DIN convertible valve and cylinder boot

for £133 all in....would this be a good price and worth buying.....or is it gonna cost me another £100 to get it set up

been looking at the rigs on planet after i made the post.....and the 300 bar fill rigs seem really straight forward.....just look like a screw on attachment

but then the next question........where do you get the scuba bottle filled and does anyone have ideas on the cost of this......i take it the scuba shops will do it......but does anyone else

i presume scuba shops will charge more as they are gonna be putting breathig quality air into the tank aren't they

That seems like a good deal...if its a 300 BAR one and not 232...wheres that from..does it include VAT and DEL?
You eill need a 300 bar DIN fit fill rig....
Filling bottles from dive shop about £5.

Ideally you want breathing air, as its cleaner and leess likely to screw you reg up.

Also, London Paintball...do fill set ups fr £180 and i think they are they Dry valved ones, with fill station...which only require testing every 5 years.

If the bottle you are looking at is second hand check when it needs a test and when it was born, as they have a 15 year life, the same as gun bottles.

not sure of the pressure it will take...the website did not say

gonna give them a ring though....as faber do about 40 different 12l bottles for all around the world

price is including VAT from what i can see....but it cost £7 for DEL.....or i could just go and pick it up.....about 30 minute drive :p
