at my school, we have all sorts of equipment, including some welding stuff. this includes a rather large tank. tis probably about 3-4 foot tall. and the dials on the top show that it is at 232bar, or 3000psi. well, i was thinking, what would i need to do to be able to fill my bottle from this? i have read some stuff about all sorts of rigs an stuff. but havent taken much notice as i didnt thinki would be able to fill it myself for a while. well now i have found me a source, i need to know how to do it, and also how to make it as safe as possible, coz i dont wanna get splattered all over the design department, and lose my dad his job. so what can ya tell me. will be very grateful, as it means i will be able to practise alot more often without having to frk out on a dive tank. cheers

You need yourself one of these:

Planet sell them for £42.50 (+VAT)

they are called a "232 Bar A Clamp Fill Rig (AA)"

Be careful tho, i read on here someone was thinking of filling their bottle from a farm air compressor he had access to but someone warned him that the air this compressor produces is "industrial quality air" and may contain dirt particles or tiny shards of metal which will fk up the filters on your bottle / gun as paintball systems are designed to run on "breathable quality air"

Can somebody confirm this?

If its welding gear, it will be oxe-aceclyene(spelt something like that) its oxygen, not air which is quite different, not to mention dangerous if it leaks. And explosive!

i think youll find that was another or my pearls of wisdom :)
and it is true.
Even if the compressor is for air, it might not be breathing grade. and thats a BAD thing. especially over prolonged use.

But it could be fun to have a little "pilot light" type flame under the end of the barrel - big ball of flame every shot.

I hope the Crossfire folks dont read these forums, I've just created the Emulsifier II  ;)
