Right...

Ive been talking to the guy im buying a gun from and was asking him some questions about its setup... When I asked Can I run it on a fixed Reg Air system he said
"Yes, so long as you run it on the remote as the gun is setup for remotes only"

Now I thought that remotes were basically like a 3 foot bottle extension, ie, you screw the Hose into the bottom of the gun (like you normally would the bottle) and the screw the bottle into the other end of the hose & put it in your harness.

When I asked "Can the remote be removed & the bottle screwed into the gun if I want to" he said, "No, the remote is attached directly to the gun"

Im confused... any help guys?

Shouldn't be a problem to change the set-up. You will probably have to by some new hose, a cradle/drop forward and ask someone nicely to change it round for you. That said I can't say for certain because you haven't mentioned what make the Marker and Air/CO2 system are.

One of the major uses of remotes is to provide expansion room for CO2 in guns that hate liquid, so there shouldn't be any reason why you can't run your reg air on gun, with (as Mr Pink points out) a new spot of plumbing and cradle/drop forward.

Often remote set-ups don't look as if they can be disconnected, especially as if when you get one you're new to all the permutations of equipment. Took me a few weeks before I realised what bit of the expansion chamber was supposed to come off on mine (doh! - but this was my first marker so I plead ignorance. Actually, I exude it . . .)

The bloke probably just means that at the moment there's no physical way to attach a bottle + reg to the gun - he just attached the remote hose via a q/d connector and runs like that. As the others have said, should be easy enough for you to sort out once you've got the gun, just by adding a cradle (or if you've got a screw-in reg/bottle, an even cheaper asa bottom line).

definate conclusion, the easiest way to set it up on Air will be to get a preset output bottle (with reg) and just screw it on and then chrony.
Simple as that.
Maybe the guy youy buying it off doesnt know the differance between a Bottom line, and a remote.

Unless he's really messed with it, there should be no reason why it wont work.

I can actually think of one way that the guy your buying it from miht be telling the truth. The AMG has a hard line going to the expansion chamber. He might have had to modify the cradle itself to put on a remote so it might be physically attached to the hard line. Well, whatever you do, make sure you go see it for yourself. Good Luck on your purchase.

well here the beauty part, the reason why im buying this from the US is because im not physically paying for it (explanation to follow)

Im going to see what its like when I get it as im not 100% sure what im getting :) so it'll be a suprise to me too!

Right, explanation: Theres an online game I play called "Motor City Online" where you have a constant persona. In the game you race & build cars, and build up money on this persona. Its this money that im paying him with, this money hold some "Real-world" value on E-bay but i dont care about that! to me its free!
So, (apart from the £6 per month to play the game) this PB stuff isnt costing me anything :D :D :D
