Air bottles in test for CO2?

I have just bought a second hand 1.1 air bottle and I want to use it for co2 for my shocker. However, the manufacture date is 3/96 and there is no other date to say if it is in test on it. Do I have to get it tested or will it be okay?

If there is no other date on it, it needs testing before you use it. Fiber wrap bottles need testing every 3 years, aluminium or steel bottles every 5. Either way, it needs testing now.
