air bottle laws

does any one know if there has been any changes to the laws about air tanks because some one was telling me that you cant use tanks with HSE on it they have to have CE ? :confused: :confused: :confused:

If they were talking about Europe as a whole,. then that's pretty much the case. If it was specific to the UK, then someone was telling you 100% grade A bullplop :)

NEW bottles sold must be CE-certified, as marked with a pi symbol. Existing HSE bottles are legal until the end of their service life (typically 10-15 years.)

If you're playing in Europe (outside the UK) then bottles should be CE-approved, whereas before there was a proper European standard it seemed to be a matter of "anything goes, as long as it's within test."

HSE + DOT tested: in UK yes, Europe no

HSE: in UK yes, Europe no

PI (CE certified): UK and Europe yes
