air bottle and reg

can some one explain to me how tight a reg should be in to the bottle?

should they be loose at all?

this information is for a friend that has just purchased a bottle and reg and when it arrived the reg was loose!
any information would be great thanks

is there a seal on the reg? i think theres meant to be a seal that makes it ultra tight.

dont think there is any seal mate, the reg should be tight on the bottle but by adding air into the bottle the reg will tighten on the bottle, or so me believes

you will need to contact the manufacturer as they have torque settings for regs,if you want to do it properly.

I find FT is a good torque setting to apply

There should be an O ring on the reg, there was on all the ones I have done. It should be tightened with good grips. I always go as tight as I can.
Perhaps the seller used to sell the bottles and regs as individual parts and just screwed them together to send.

i will tell him and advis ehim to just send it away and get it tested to be safe

i use a micro max flo and the bottle is meant to just screw off

am i missing something here?
im sure im not the only person who just uses this setup "hand tight" then removes the bottle at the end of the day?
