See the Spyder "front expansion mount" on planet eclipse... Would that fit my aggressor? and would i have to buy the "ACI Sub Zero CO2 Expansion 6 STAGE"?

I'm new to the technology side of pball =] and what exactly does that do apart from give u an extra grip?

Yes you would need a front bottle mount to fit an expansion chamber. What the expansion chamber does is allow the CO2 to turn into a gas more efficiently. It also helps stoping liquid CO2 entering your marker. Liquid CO2 is bad for it as orings freeze and can break. Also liquid CO2 makes your velocity very inconsistant. You can also use the expansion chamber as a grip which helps stabilize your marker.
Another option is to fit a regulator instead. A regulator will allow you to adjust the input pressure of your gas and will make your shots more consistant. Also you should get more shots per tank with a regulator.
If and when you upgrade to air, an expansion chamber will be of no use, but a regulator will still be useable.

Did this make sense? If not then let me know and I will try a better explanation.

The "front expansion mount" will fit the aggressor, but the valve spring will need to be replaced with a valve spring from a Spyder Compact, which Planet do not sell (as far as I know!).

The hole where the exsisting hose connects would also need to be plugged by a short bolt.

cheers for the help, eh i sorta understood what u said but whats this about short bolts etc? I'm Confuddled

So what crom said is that i can basically buy that stuff and it'll go together and improve my gas flow? but i didnt really get the bit that monkey was talking about... were u saying that i could buy it but it wouldnt go on my basic aggressor?

arghhhh i hate my limited brain... (and lack of knowledge of pball technical stuff)

Right where do I begin!! (its so much easier explaining things with diagrams!!!)

I am going to assume you have bought a nice new aggressor from Planet which has come with its instruction "manual"!! (If it hasn't you won't understand a word I am saying!)

Syders basically come in two body shapes/sizes, Full or Compact. The "front expansion mount" is designed to fit on the compact body. The Aggressor has a Full body, however it has the same Receiver plug fixings (part 7, see diagram in manual) as a compact. This means the "front expansion mount" will fit nicely to the Aggressor (in place of part 2008) BUT the valve spring (part 10) is now too big. Therefore the valve sping (part 10) has to be replaced by the valve spring from a Compact Spyder. These springs are sold with the 32 Degrees and Madmann Spring kits (I think!), I do not know if anyone sells them in the UK.

Now if you have succesfully found a compact valve spring and done the above you will have a spyder with 2 holes to put the gas in. (the "front expansion mount" and the steel hose attached to the body) You will therefore have to remove the hose and the male to male adaptor (part 42) which is stuck in the body. Once part 42 is unscrewed, you will have a big hole that needs to be plugged, by ideally a short bolt/screw of the correct diameter.

Alternatively you can buy a front bottle mount that screws directly into the body (in place of part 42!) and will save you most of the hassle!!! Planet used to sell these (well they did in 1998/99!!)

I now have a headache and need to rest!!!!!!:D  :D
