After HSE runs out.....

i just thought, we now have the CE rated bottle, which is going to replace the HSe bottle, so say if a bottle that is HSE runs out next march, can it be re-tested on HSE, or can it be re tested as CE, or does it just become obsolete?

The HSE standard has been replaced for all new bottles. Existing bottles have a 15 year life and can only be tested to the original manufactured standard,until end of life

ah, so basically if i bought a bottle i think this april (whenever CE came about) then it would affectively have a 15 year life left non illegal

I know that my bottle has a re test date of 9/03 on it but since its made by SCI then it only needs re testing every 5 years, not every 3 years as it says on the bottle, thats what one of the guys from H-Pac said (I forget his name) at Campaign and then again at the Welsh open

When i spoke to HPAC, they said SCI was one of the bottles with 5 year tests.

and 4500psi 'Luxfer' is the other with a 5 year test.
