Yep, I need some advice. Got me a baddass Dark Angel 2K and just want to know of anyone out there has any maintainence tips. What will need replacing regularly, what will break, what do I need to lube...etc...these noo fangled electros are crazy.

And yes, this does mean my avatar will change soon. :D

Ahhh...judging by your icon and that you think markers all need a lot of maintenance, you must own a cocker. This is the beauty of the Angel.

Every 3 cases or so, drop a couple of drops of Gold Cup in your Macro Line (or steel hose) and dry fire it a little.

At the same time, open up your breech and put a couple of drops of Gold Cup in with your ram. and dry fire it a little.

Make sure to wipe off your bolt after this due to the fact that delron will expand with moisture.

Every now and then check to see if your ram is leaving shavings during it's frequent travels back and forth....if so, remove the ram and clean it out. This is eliminated with a stainless steel ram...but that is rumored to scar the inside of the body.

And that's pretty much all you have to do

But if anyone else can think of anything, please do.

Enjoy your Dark Angel (they're sooooo beautiful :) )

Important info for Al

This is the most important thing you need to do with a dark A.

Change the owner, which is very simple to do....place one said marker in box and send to ME :D :D

This will solve any future problems you may encounter with your.....no sorry, my dark A :p :p

Hey Al as Mr Seraph there is little to NO maintenance on an Angel. You might want to check the shots on the counter and ask how many of them are on the Bolt. I have been told to change mine out around 25,000 rounds. Also the Stainless Steel hammer like he said will remove the shavings problem! Welcome to the realm of clean and Air-Up play!:D

That might be true rooster but the point remains that a brass hammer is cheaper than an angel body so I would say stick with the brass.

They both perform the same.

brass shavings prob? not encountered it myself.

This is cool

I love it when you ask a question and people actually answer, cheers guys.

I'm a big believer in not really messing with things if I don't understand it too well. When it comes to oiling, do I remove the sight rail and pop a few drops in there? or are there specific ways of doing this?

I think I'll stick with the brass hammer for the time being, SS may be a lil' too harsh, I don't know. What I am gonna do though is get a proper on/off switch fitted, the key sucks ass man, I already lost one.

Bud, my good friend and compadre. No. It's mine, all mine, muwahh hah haaaa. I also got the Eclips Blade frame AND brand new ASA reg adaptor, again Eclipse, verry niice. I'll post a pic up this week. Pewter Dark 2k, nickel Eclipse blade fram, nickel ASA reg mount, ooooohhhhh lushy. :D
