My bother-in-law just got one of these . He has removed the bolt, lubed it and refitted and the marker dry fires ok but when he showed it to me the very end of the back cap (held in place by magnets) is "kicking" backwards when the marker is fired. It is closing again afterwards but the time it takes to close varies each time which I assume is because it is kicking back different distances each time.
When he dry fired it in the shop prior to purchase it didn't do this but at that point the blanking plate was over the top loader hole. He is now dry firing it with an empty rotor fitted.
Should it do this and if not can you offer any advice as to what the fix could be? He has asked me to take a look as as I own a couple of DMs and the bolt is very similar but this is the first DAM I have handled.
Thanks in advance,
Gary
