Advice on Old Kit

I've been out of the game since 2005 now so feel like a newbie again.

I'm looking for advice on what to do with all the kit I kept from that time.
I have an '05 Angel Speed (needs new board), Alias Timmy (may be broken, it has been so long)and SP Ion with lots of other stuff including clothes and plenty of barrels. I rang LiPS regarding the first two markers and they said they can't do anything as they are too old (in the case of the Angel, the fact that WDP went down the pan).

So is there anything I can do with the Angel or Timmy other than scrapping them?

Thanks in advance

You can put a umt board in the angel, real easy.
Alias timys never die it will be orings at most.
SP ion... do you have a door that needs propping open?

Thanks for the quick replies. I'm not sure if I will be starting up again or not so just figuring out what to do with it all.
Just wondering if it's worth me spending money on markers this old to get them working or just giving to "charity" i.e. you lot.

Adrenochrome - I know times have moved on but are they that bad? As far as I know it was the only one working so will have to take it somewhere local to see how it is fairing up.

if you find the right people they will always be interested in buying and as mentioned above, if its only going to cost you a few £ in orings and screws to fix it then i'd say its probably worth doing!

Thanks for the input so far guys.
Here are some other questions I figured would be best put here to continue where I started...

I have two air tanks that were both born 2003. Neither were ever tested so I guess they are illegal to fill therefore need scrapping?
One of the tanks is an Angel A.I.R bottle with a PMI preset reg. I've tried to get the reg off (after degassing properly) but won't seem to budge. Am I too weak or were these designed to not be removed?

Thanks

We dont allow bottles that are not in test to be sold on here for obvious reasons.

As for the guns, you could make a thread, with a price of £100 on each gun and asking for offers? As long as you say exactly what you know, even if its "I dont know if it works" and expect to not get £100 each.

If you make £50 for each, its better than nothing huh?

Thanks Bolter but I have no intention on selling the bottles until I know if they can be tested first.
I was under the assumption that if they have never been tested in the 9 years of their life that they are invalid to be tested at all. Is this correct?

Thanks

I haven't heard anything on lack of use preventing testing, however if they were stored depressurised to nil / empty then there is the risk of damp seeping in and internal rust, if a small amount of pressure remained they could be in good condition.
If you've had to degass before attempting to remove the regulator then it could be in good condition.

The only way to know for sure is by inspection & testing

Check the HPA1 air safety information as linked
http://www.oaklandsfestival.host56.com/web_documents/air information.pdf

Consider the age & final date for the cylinders as to whether it is worthwhile having a test, if you can hand it over & collect rather then post then testing can be as cheap as £25/£30

Born 2003 indicates a final date of 2018, so another 6 years of life could be in them (that would take 2 tests for the period so may be only viable to test once for 5 years)

Regulators should be removed using appropriate tools and could be loctited in place.

By the way - Nothing wrong with an Ion, I took mine out of retirement recently. They are still sought after by some, and if it went to Gommie it would get a new lease of life
