Advice On my new bottle

Just took delivery today of my new 1.1 fibre wrapped bottle. It is seemingly one of the new CE bottles. But it has no reference to it being CE (no writing on it saying so) but it also has no reference to it being any other type of bottle (HSE or DOT). Is there something I should be looking for? A serial number, other logo or something on there?

Any help appreciated.

It has no CE in front of it. Pics match those on the Fatbobs website (although this is not where I bought it I may add :) ) Bit confused cause I thought it would have some reference to CE somewhere on it:confused:

Never mind, off to a paintball shop in the morning (names not mentioned to protect the inncocent :D ) and will see what they say about it :)

Cheers for everyones help/advice.

Sorted :)

Have found out that the new CE bottles do not in fact have a big CE stamped on them (Why?? god knows :) ) But instead has EN 12445 on them, which means they have been tested to the new CE standard :) which mine has :) thank fook... Hopefully they will stamp CE (as they have HSE or DOT previously) on the bottles to avoid further confusion :)

The new CE bottles are set to take over HSE bottles in the UK. HSE may become ILLEGAL in the UK within the next few months.

The serial number you should look for is EN12245

Anyone who buys an HSE bottle now must need their head examining, although there are shops selling HSE bottles who will tell you different till they are blue in the face. (The more HSE bottles they have in stock, the louder they shout)

the way i understood it was that there will be no more new hse bottles made, and current bottles could continue to be used and tested untill they reach their shelf life (which is 15 years). they will not become illegal at all

I think that's what retailers of the HSE bottles would like us to think. I have heard from a very good source that they will become illegal next May (2004)
