I really want to get into competition paintball but dont no where to start. I realize joining a team would be a good start but as i haven’t played paintball in 6 years, and never supair i feel a spot of training wouldn’t go a miss, as i dont want to look a complete lemon at any tryout.
So is there any where i can train or just get used to playing again before heading off for any team tryouts.
Also any suggestion’s as to kit not to have, i was planning on letting the guys at smart-parts sort me out.Living in south london but travel is not a problem.

you could go to sparklie:)

she owns 55 acres of woods, in maidenhead, before reading. she has thing once a month called 'academy' thats rules where u meet loads of really friendly people ranging from new people to experts (so called:p ), there might be sup air this time...but it got really flooded so shes getting loads of diggers and stuff to fix it. go onto www.diablopaintballing.com and then forum...ask about it there...the response will be very positive . if u have a problem with guns then there are always people there ready to tech it, or if u dont have a marker then someone usually has a spare they will let you borrow.

I can vouch for both sites - Apoc are a dedicated tourney team and have their own sup air field to train on, complete with spectating chickens :D

Academy is a somewhat slightly different meeting of ballers from all backgrounds, sometimes playing sup-air, sometimes playing woodland. Many will be from local teams (and some not so local), but having a good time is the key. :p
