Advantages of changing output pressure?

So I was trying to understand what the advantages/disadvantages would be of using differing output pressures from my regulator? I use a Ninja Pro Reg so I know that by taking some of the shims out I could lower the output pressure, however I do not understand what the benefits of doing so would be?

Just in case it is of use I shoot a 2012 Vanguard Demon}

someone can correct me if im wrong,

some markers don't require the standard 800psi output pressure that most hpa regs give off, to complete one full cycle, so lowering the output pressure should see more efficiency from your marker.

Ah ok, that explains it. So how do I find out the recommended setting for my Demon as I couldn't see it in the manual... @foot any help?

For best results with a Demon, MP is the way to go.

So my Ninja is at 800psi atm but can be dropped to 700, 550 or 450. Which sounds best? @foot

For the majority of guns, assuming it's a modern reg with a non **** recharge, as I understand it, it's best to run at a mid-ish pressure.
