About this BEST Player in the World

It is impossible to select a best player in our game. There are few team sports that by their make up allow the picking of a "best" player. I believe basketball would be one, and there may be others. But, paintball isn't. Just like baseball, or american football. There are best pitchers, best hitters, best fielders, best running backs, quaterbacks, etc. The field has to be broken down for a "best" to be reasonably decided on. And even then there are more opinions than fact that go into the decision.

In paintball there would have to be similar break down of roles and positions with more specifics addedto get a true BEST.

But, if you guys are trying to find the BEST player in THE WHOLE WORLD, who plays up front, who lives in Georgia, who weighs less than 140 pounds, who is less than 5'10", who is over 34 but under 36 years of age, then there is only one choice. By those standards I feel that I, Lane Wright, am the BEST player in the world. Case closed. It's a no brainer. And until some of you guys get older, lose weight, and move to Georgia -- I will continue my reign as the best.

Can anyone argue that fact? I thought not.

Good luck to all you guys. This next year should be another big step forward for all tournament paintball players. Everyone keep trying to be the BEST in your own way and we will all be better for it.

Hi Mr Lane Wright , if you are seriously selecting yourself as the 'Best player in the World' then I respectfully suggest you change your name to Lane Wrong coz everybody knows the credentials of the World's best comes in the form of, someone aged between 47 and 49 years old, weighs 230 pounds, a mouth the size of Jupiter, an ego the size of the Horse Head Nebula and an intellect that spans galaxies (OK, OK, I'm a Trekkie at heart....and perhaps I exaggerate a tad).
But I do agree, there is a problem when you come to assess the best player, but do you, as I do, consider Gary as the best back player of all time (even though he is retired now).
As you know I played with him for 3 years on Aftershock but I know U played against us all that time, what do you think from your perspective ?
And what do you think about this whole raft of young players coming in such as Marcus Nielsen, Fraige, Laing and co?
Personally, I think it's great and I also think players like these young ones are now redefining just how we envisage the great players of our game because I truly believe they are setting new limits to what is achievable.
