Can any one tell me if a marker can be used without a trigger guard in a millenium seris tournament?

I have checked out the official rules, and I can not find refernce to it, but I need to double check it.....

Any one got any info?

Thanks
Pesty..

trigger guards

I asked the same question on another thread and got no reply. I then asked a guy on my team and he said it was under the section entitled "definition of a marker" which I failed to find. If anyone else can shed some light on this, i would be extremely grateful. Otherwise, those wire coat hangers will be hot property come friday...:) :) :)

The millennium rules state (somewhere) that trigger guards are necessary at millennium events. However, I have never seen that rule enforced before. I say bring a spare gun just in case;)

Paul, just bring the Angel and if they enforce the rule ask where it is in the book.........if they ban it, theres always the EMag ;)

Trigger guard required...

Don't know why the trigger guard part got dropped out of the recent set of Millennium/NPPL rules. The question came up at Joy Masters and Moose, the ultimate, said trigger guards are definitely required and that the rule would be enforced. An acquaintance of mine was forced to go immediately to a trade stand and buy a new trigger frame, with guard, for the used Angel he had just bought .

I personally don't like for there to be unwritten rules because anyone who plays or who is developing products for the tournament scene should be able to use the rules as reference and not have to guess and second guess.

Also, I think rules ought to be adhered to consistently. Otherwise get rid of the rule in question.

Burning Question....

if the sh*t does hit the fan and the rule is enforced, what are the chances of there being a trade stand at Campaign selling trigger guards for markers?

Could someone who will be marshalling at Campaign give their thoughts.

Banned at Joy = banned at Campaign

If Moose is still the ultimate at Campaign then you have your answer. If not it will still be the same answer. It seems that the mention of a trigger guard was left out by mistake during some revision process. Besides, trigger guards are obviously a safety feature. I know from experience that you get far more accidental discharges on markers that don't have trigger guards. I'm sure that is why the trigger guard rule was added a few years ago.

If you run into me judging at a Millennium or NPPL tournament, I will not allow you to play without a trigger guard based upon the fact that the ultimate has already told me, this season, that they will not be allowed.

If you don't believe me, send an e-mail to Millennium's rule people. The contact info can be found at their Web site. You'll get the same answer.
