lubed?

can you tell if its a mechanical or electronic problem? as in, does the e-grip click when yopu pull the trigger even when the bolt doesn't fire?

A5's are usually easy to fix generally just a good case of stripping it apart totally lubing what you can, if its the e trigger take it fully apart and see if there is a snagged cable somewhere and if the rod which runs up the trigger frame sits correctly and smoothly

hmm can you be a bit more specific, if its to do with the etrigger it shouldnt matter if its gassed up or not as you can dry fire it, if you could describe what actually happens step by step i should be able to help, know my A5 through and through, where do you live if its close enough i'll have a look for ya

Okies, i can sit and play all day clicking it in my room with no air.. i wanted to have a go in the garden so i hooked up the air at 2000psi, chucked in 100 balls and set it to auto, started with the couple of shots before and thats as far as it got. the A5 had re cocked but there was no response from the trigger, after a few seconds the trigger had a burst of energy or summat and let me have another two shots, and so on.
Im gonna strip the e grip down when the daughters gone to bed..
Im in Doncaster / Yorkshire mate

Well it sounds like either a dodgy battery or it may be shorting somewhere or it may be drawing to much power from the battery, i would have a look but thats too far for me (south east wales) i believe www.justpaintball.com may have a look for you if you contact them, thats your best bet

Thanks for your help mate, il have to get a couple of duracells and give them a shot.
Oh aye, i took my grip to pieces and the trigger mechanism, found that there was a pin missing (circled in pic)
could be a problem as it supports the armeture. not been able to test it yet.

Cheers

does it work if you do single shot?

also where did you buy your egrip from?

as far as im aware most boards sold in the uk have the auto mode disabled

not tried it on single shot really, whacked it straight on auto, works on full auto when theres no pressure, you know, can hear it clicking.
got it off ebay from uk..
