A4 board in an IR3

easier to set up, but you will need to change the battery, as the A4 uses a 4.8v battery, and the ir3 a 6v battery

Can't see why you'd want to though.........

The only advantage I can see from doing this would be a few extra menus on the LCD screen.

Performance wise, I'm pretty sure it would be the same as tyhe standard IR3.....

can definately be done cos the angel i am getting very soon has an A4 board in it, not too sure about wether the rest of the internals - i.e. the solenoid have to be upgraded aswel

been told that it absolutly rips though

Which model of Angel? As already said above the voltages are different to work properly the Angel that has an A4 boards put in it needs an Speed/A4 battery and the A4 or Speed charger unit...the solenoid may need to be replaced or have a capacitor soldered on as the voltage output from the A4 board will not be enough to trip it sucessfully everytime without the dreaded FSDO. If the Angel you are getting is a Speed then an A4 board will drop straight in and no further fiddling is needed.
