Just a quick thought about the security of people selling things in the classifieds. Im suggesting this after one of the guys on here had loads of stuff half inched from his garage recently.

People are asked to post a pic of the item in question and their name and address on the thread. Does this not tell every thieving ghet what lovely things are in this poor sods house and all they have to do is go and get it!

Wouldn’t it be a better idea for a key word to be posted instead of an address?

For example if I wanted proof that someone is selling something I would ask for a photo with a bit of paper with the word "cheese" and the username next to it. Thus eliminating the chance of the seller getting done over!

Just a thought, let me know what you think

the seller is obviously pretty stupid if he would write his address on a piece of paper in the first place.

username should be sufficient.

anything more revelealing is just plain tittish!

Uhh.. As far as I knew, you didn't have to whack your address on the piece of paper.
Infact, you dont even NEED to take a photo with your name on it, its up to you, and what details you put on it.

If people are silly enough to put up their full address where all their paintball kit is stored... then they are probably stupid enough leave their front door open for the theif to walk in and take it.

I doubt it was a 'baller that broke in...

And thats the only time I've seen someone post their address - Common sense not to.

No nor do i, but i was going on the rob, id check classifieds on sites that hold expensive equipment and find the stock and the address lol, not a bad idea that

and yes common sense should win everytime but i know plenty of people without any as im sure everyone else does.
