A question about back players

I have not been around the tourny scene very long(only about 1 and 1/2 years) but to me it seems like front players are getting most of the glory... so who are/were the best back players ever and what made them great? Was it sweetspotting ability, good communication skills, or what?

Gary Noblett for aftershock was great. They said he was the best at giving cover fire, and communicating. A back player should always either be talking or shooting his gun....always.
