A Matter of Chance or Was it Fate ?

It's funny how life throws out curve balls when you least expect them and tonite I got one straight in the nuts.
After all the **** that has been happening between myself and Shockwave, I would have given 'No Hope' and 'Bob Hope' to things being resolved in the short term.

So, tonite, the wife and me decide to go out to Blue Water Shopping Centre to get er' indoors a birthday present and have a meal afterwards.
So far so good, we are walking round and then who do I bump into, with I think, his daughter but none other than Dave Guiles from Shockwave.
Now we ain't best mates or nothing but we do have a healthy respect for each other, on and off the field, after all, Dave was with the original Predators from all those years back and I have been playing against him all my paintball life (16 years).
In fact, I find it hard to ever really regard Dave as anything other than a Pred even though he plays for Shockwave and the Preds finished up years ago.
And this is probably the reason why he would have been the only guy on Shockwave who I would have listened to at this time.

So as we give each other the obligatory nod and go to walk past each other, he calls back to me, ' Pete, when we gonna end all this' ?
Hmmm, now I'm on the spot cuz I gotta come back with a reasonable answer or I look an *******.
Within two minutes of talking, I think and hope, all is now a done deal.
Dave told me about a few things they thought I had done (which I hadn't) and I understood a bit better how I had pissed them off.

Well, I will hopefully be talking to Russell in the near future to nail the lid down on this once and for all and I can get on with my job of working for PGI instead of trawling the boards of P8ntballer looking for the next insult.

Funny ole life we live sometimes.

Welsh, at least you hit the nail on the head even though you were being ironic cuz when it comes down to it, er indoors is a million times more important than any of this ****.

2) Well done Dave, but mate... you ain't done out wrong here. There have been some fairly severe accusations without any backup ...you know what, it's like when you have a fight in the playground and then make up, you're best of friends... but remember what's been said.

It's good to see that Icons in the UK like Robbo and ShockWave are atleast trying to make ammends. But as Rancid said there will always be that thought in the back of your mind of what had been said! Oh well good on the both halves!

1) Ain't turning into no raving poofter just yet, so settle down Lasoya !

2) I know I ain't done no wrong with regard to X-Ball, but I did react unprofessionally in A'Dam but with serious mitigation and there is noooooo waaaayyy I will forget one iota of what's been said by certain people and what's been done by others.

The reason I agreed an end to all this was so that I could get on with my life and my job without steaming up every time I switched the computer on.
I would like to thank everybody who supported me in recent days and this support was I think, not because as some people may suggest there is some sort of Robbo Fan club going on here but because people genuinely believe my selection policy to be correct and more importantly.... I think people accept, that although they may not agree with everything I say, I will always be 100% honest in what I write.
In my position, it's far too risky a venture to consider anything else but being honest.
