I know mods dont like this kinda thing , but its weekend
After a lot of thought , I have decided to quit Shockwave , after 10 yrs of and on playing for what someone called my metapoical paintball home, they took a raw 20 yr that a loved the game ,to someone who could play the game ,a little. There are many people that i would llike to thank for this but the 2 people that without a doubt made this happen for me are Giles Marshall and Russel Steel , they gave me and insight into the sport that i would have never seen if they had never given me the chance all those yrs ago ,if i did not have these chances i would have been playing sunday league football or even worse playing Club cricket and i would have never got to see those wonderful hotel rooms just a little thankyou for looking after me over the years
So why would you quit a team thats on its best form for a good few yrs ?
As i player thats always worn his heart on sleeve i feel i could not commit for another yr with out letting my freinds down one way or another .
To put no finer point on it , the travel is crippling me, try driving the best part off 12 hrs a weekend ,playing 2 days paintball then going to work on the Monday morning.this is ok every now and again ,but when playing pro , u are at practice 2-3 times a month ,other wise you can hardly call your sell pro,my life is paintball , however i have just decided to call it a day on driving up and down the M6 to go to Bristol or Dartford .
I surpose its one of the draw backs of living in manchester ,although its not full of dirty southerns so i have decided to call it a day with shock just over 2 weeks ago.
just another quick thankyou
