hey,

...so wanna do it on somethin about paintball. Its for a listening audience, and is to 'inform' or 'explain', cant do it to entertain. A possible one is a presentation to government or somethin, like a government/political speech ?

possibly somethin on why paintball should be recognised as a sport ?? any ideas?

Thanks for the help

Eddie

Me bro did something like this, for his english speaking and listening. The only thing was he had to do it in a form of a presentation.

Good thing about it was that everyone before him done theirs by reading off what they wrote. As paintball for him, and me is a weekly thing, not to mention the magazines and the sites, he was able to stand up infront of his class and chat so much about paintball. All he did was chat briefly on most aspects of paintball. For example,
What is the difference between rec-ball, 7-man and x-ball..
How it isnt recognised as a sport, to joe public and the sporting bodies....
The expense it costs him (or me i should say :D )....
Why he does it.....
Safety implications.....
and so much other stuff in paintball we take for granted.

Though to us it may seem boring, but to everyone in his glass he said not once did they get bored, or showed any sign of sarcasm towards his nature of paying £1700 on paintball equipment, just to shoot 7 guys. And get this his talk was meant to last 5 minutes, it went 15 minutes before the teacher stopped him as she didnt realise how long it lasted. Edge of the seat stuff i tell ya :D :D !!

So i guess write what you feel is important about paintball to you, and just make sense to your teacher. If you right it well and they understand you, you may get the rewards you deserve for doing it. Like the A me bruv got for the talk ;)

Good luck!

Darren :)

Yes they may not understand, but thats what questions are for at the end of the talk. You get good marks for answering questions adaquately and to the point.
