what would british ball be without Campign Cup. the teams that cant go abroad and play the large events, would not have any large tournies so how would they be able to compete with the rest of the world:confused:

I have heard there will be a CC, just not at Crystal palace, and after this year not at esher again. But somewhere far more appealing :) I don't know where though...

Campaign Cup and the Millennium series is still up in the air a bit for next year i gather.

But I understand that the NPPL will be having a more direct involvement in Europe next year. If this is the case then you can bet your bottom dollar that NPPL/Pure Promotions (aka WDP) will have a massive UK tourney probably around WDP's heartland Birmingham.

What a load of Bull.

The Only thing that will stop Campaign is my will to carry on doing it.

Malaga will be on as well. We won't be giving up on that one either.

hahahahahahahha

8 fields, trade presence, spectator arrangements, facilities for Pro's? Compare that to the Stade Pesche-David or Malaga, I thinks not.

Who knows what there'll be next year coz at the moment, nothing is certain !!!!
Who knows if there will even be a Millennium Series as we once knew it, I think it's time for a change or maybes a fast track evolution; how many promoters jump on board remains to be seen and more interestingly, for those who don't see the bigger picture, will they be brave enough for their events be run as a stand alone or just jack it in?

The curtains will be drawn back pretty soon I think but I tell you this much, whatever is revealed will be a better option for the European Paintballer.

Do you mean that literally? or that because there is one tournament a year in the UK that has "some" big name teams in it that the standard of british ball is somehow more competitive.

If you do think the latter then i think that's bollox as 95% of the UK teams that play Campaign alone (and don't travel like Kellys etc) will play what 1 out of division game against a good foreign team - and still not the best as they play Pro or Open X this year.

Plus with the UK obsession for playing in Div3 you don't even get to play a Pro anyway! and even those that do aren't going to actually learn much from getting walked over in 30 secs.

Nope - attending 1 big event a year counts for squat or maybe a little if you play at least Pro or Div1. Question - how many UK teams had a training straight after Campaign, sat down and said, "right how can we improve" watch videos and compare themselves with the Pro's rather than just going "thats me....thats me....thats me....oh I'm dead now....." and break down exactly what went wrong, implement detailed and structered training over the winter break with clearly defined goals and milestones - I'd bet it's none of the teams that only played Campaign this year.

You gotta play more of the season to become more "competitive" overall as Kelly's etc have shown, one event doesn't cut it.

thanks for your points everyone. pete your point is quite interesting and i look forward to the 05 season. beaker i wasnt implying that at all about british ball. but from my own experience a year ago with wolf-pac we couldnt afford to play the abroad events, so relied on CC to play better UK teams and more importantly the teams from all over the world. otherwise it was just the local domestic each month. but im sure that now so many more teams can and will improve there game to a higher level not just from playing teams from abroad.

i appologise for spelling mistakes and any points that are not understood, as i have been working 18 hours a day this week and am extremely fatigued,
