I'm certainly no pro, but I can help you just a wee-bit. First off, I'd say go with the expansionchamber from Tippmann themselves, as it has good instructions on how to install it to the marker. Because of the fact they mention it's user-installable, they'll replace anything that you may damage while installing it. Just send it back to them and they'll send you a brand new one in return.
As for problems with your hopper, there's just nothing feeding the balls into the elbow and you have to shake it to get a few balls ready to fire. I certainly wouldn't go with a H.A.L.O. loader on any Tippmann, as it's just unnescessary. Of course it'll do it's job damn good, but you don't need to be feeding at 16+ B.P.S. for almost any mechanical marker, if any. Also H.A.L.O.s are pretty big and bulky to have sitting atop the 'gun. I say all you'll really need is a 9 Volt Revolution. In the early stages of upgrading my 'Cocker it did it's part and I almost never had a ball not fed into the breach. But if you really much get somthing advanced, to for a Ricochet 2K loader. It has ball deflectage, gamne timer, shot counter.. more than enough options to keep you informed about your current situaton.
I hope I helped, but if you have any other Q's you need A'd, I'll be here.

I would recomend a aci 4 stage x- chamber. I have one and have had no problems with it. For a hopper I agree with Arrival. Go with the 9vl revolution unless you can really rip on your tippmann or plan on getting a rt-trigger then pay the extra few bucks and get a 12vl or x-board.

Dont waste your bux on an expansionchamber, they dont really do anythign. Buy yourself a decent Regulator, you'll get any and all possible benifits you would get from the EC but you also get a consistant pressure going into your 'gun therefore much more consistant velocities.

Dont listen to the people knocking you just because you ahve a m98, it's a prefectly fine gun for what it is. But ppl are right, dont put a halo on it, you would see little to know benifit from it over a simple cheep 9v revvy.
