A girl in a men's world

Just wanted to say Hi!

I've been playing paintball for a few weeks now and I love it! It's kinda hard when you are a girl but I know that it's going to be fine!

I hope to find a lot of information here to improve

Don't believe that paintball is a mans world
It's only a mans world in the sense that the world is a mans world

Be yourself, get out and play and you will be in a paintballers world, the only difference between the sexes is that certain people may look on you as a 'weaker' player because you're a girl.
You have two options - take advantage of their ignorance and beat them, or show them you are as good as anyone else

You may not be as good as other players present - but that will be you as an indiviudal & a new player, nothing to do with sex

Contrary to popular belief in some circles female players are not so much of a rare breed

Ps - isn't one of the top uk/ European/world players a girlie?
I'm no tournament follower but she was on paintball tv in the last series of the paintball show

Plemty of girls in paintball and lots of them are very very good. Have a look for ultraviolet (formerly celtic banshees) on Facebook or keep and eye out for Shelley Farmer who has plays for London Tigers amd the UK national team.
About the only difference I ever notice is that female players are leaa tolerant of the crap toilets male.players will put up with. ...

hi from a fellow newbie went on my first day out the weekend just gone and I saw 3 girls in all there own gear... when I first saw them I thought I was going to get my ass handed to me by girls to be honest, luckily for me they weren't playing in my game ahaa

Hi Julie and welcome to the forum like most of the others have said girls can quite easily beat the guys on the field and its nice to see more girls in the sport.
I was mainly trained by a girl when I first started who gave me lots of tips which when I took over the reins after she left I was training the guys and girls from uwe.
I'm not sure how many our on here but I'm sure a few of the girls and guys from UWE on here.
Again welcome to p8ntballer everyone is always willing to help so never be shy.
