From what I have been hearing from players over the three day event people where happy with the way the fields were playing and the standard of marshalling. There may have been some bad calls but this is always going to happen until you stop having teams marshalling teams for points. I'm taking nothing away from the marshalling over the weekend but the way forward is to have a body of marshals that do all the events and not have teams marshal.
The marshals can be made up of people from all over the world and they can get training like the old days of the UKPSF which was great in the time of Doug Setters. You could not marshal commotions for Doug unless you had completed and passed the course.
This is my own personnel view and one which I think will help the sport. We are getting a lot more TV coverage know and do you see any other sports out there that do not have there own body of judges. You do not see players refereeing a football match do you......
