Why are manufacturers suddenly all singing and dancing about 45 frames (especially WDP)? Or am I just being paranoid and 45 frames have been blabbed on about for ages already?

What makes them so AMMMMAAAAZING because I'm not so sure that they are?

I don't know if this thread should be in Techroom or SYB (as there's two questions I suppose technically both), so I'm taking a guess here...

45 Frames are what 90% of the industry use and have done for a hell of a long time.

WDP for a couple of years only suppled the 90. frame which a majority of older ballers and even some new couldn't get comfortable with (me included, made the gun feel really tall) WDP State the 90 Frame is more natural for your wrist..

Finally its taken 3 years of paintballer compaints and comments for them to start making the 45 frame, starting with the 05 speed.. Due to this they are trying to push it as a selling point, the wdp 45 is pretty comfy so i cant blame em.

Most companies dont push but state what frames they use as there are many variences similar to a 45 frame. i dont think the ego is 45 framed but it sure isnt far off it.

45s are the majorities choice... why dont you think there much cop, and what do you state is the better alternative????

I think you may have misunderstood my meaning...

It just seemed to me that companies (Dye was the most recent I've seen) appeared to be saying "buy our frame, it's a 45 so it's brilliant". I thought they were the norm so I was wondering what made them so fantastic.

Perhaps my thread should've read "What makes them so AMMMMAAAAZING because I thought they were pretty ordinary?"

I Agree as almost every gun i own is 45 framed so it not going to seem very spectacular either. With Dye if your refering to the Ultralite frame its not the angle of the frame there pushing its the shape of the back of the frame.

Dye mainly state that their frames are 45, not overly advertise them, they also state the opperating pressure of their gun in the same manor which most companies do. its just general info on the gun

You do have a point to whats so special about the 45 frame but i think WDP are really the only company that in theory have the right to "advertise" the 45 frame as last year was the first time they made a 45 frame from the factory because of dedicated Angel fans crying out for them, their theorys are great. but there is alot of truth in the slogan the customers always right!

It's not just the fact that it's a 45 frame it's also an upgrade for the DM4/5/C and PM5/6 It's smaller and lighter and comes with the DM6 board/chip and multi-fire modes plus an upgraded on/off.
And I dont belive that anyone from Dye said "buy our frame, it's a 45 so it's brilliant" thats just crap mate.

You thinking about the UL frame matey? They do seem to go on about it being 45* and great, but I suppose they're gonna. There does seem to be generally more mention of the 45 frame, especially over the last year, but I'm guessing this is mostly due to WDP going on about it, everyone else will just be re-iterating the fact that it's not something WDP have just magically invented :D
Plus with the like of PBN getting more attention they've gotta tell the yanks specifically, lest they get confused ;)
